The NXFAO Attends the 12th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum at Invitation

On November 6, the 12th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum, themed “Promoting the China-Central Asia Spirit and Advancing Common Modernization”, was held in Urumqi, Xinjiang. Shen Yueyue, Vice Chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and President of theGood-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation Commissionof the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech.She emphasized that the China-Central Asia Spirit, put forward by President Xi Jinping and characterized by mutual respect, trust, benefit, and assistance, and advancing common modernization through high-quality development, provides a fundamental guide for the generational friendship and cooperation between China and Central Asian countries. The forum aimed to materialize the key outcomes of the China-Central Asia Summit and the SCO Summit in Tianjin, unlocking new opportunities for growth in China-Central Asia collaboration.


TheNingxia Foreign Affairs Office attended the forumat invitation, joining representatives from China and Central Asian countries to explore new pathways for cooperation. During the parallel session on “Sharing Poverty Alleviation Experience for Common Development”, an official from the NXFAO shared Ningxia’s poverty alleviation successes and their relevance to advancing China-Central Asia cooperation. Attendees of the forum also toured the 70th Anniversary Thematic Achievement Exhibition of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and the China-Central Asia Sub-national Cooperation Achievement Exhibition, gaining deeper insights into the development accomplishments of Xinjiang and the broader Central Asian region.


The 11th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum was held in Ningxia in 2024. In recent years, Ningxia has continuously strengthened exchanges and cooperation with Central Asian countries across various fields. It has been actively exploring new models of collaboration in areas such as desertification control, poverty alleviation, trade in specialty agricultural products, and tourism resource development, making tangible contributions to building a closer China-Central Asia community with a shared future.
