From March 11 to 14, the NEAR Member Workshop 2025 was held in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, the ROK. Over 120 representatives from 46 regional governments and relevant organizations from China, Japan, the ROK, Mongolia, Russia and Kyrgyzstan attended the workshop. Attendees from China include those from eleven member regions, such as Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Tianjin Municipality, Shandong Province, Liaoning Province and Shaanxi Province.

They also held talks with representatives from Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, and the Buryat Republic, Russia, engaging in in-depth discussions on cross-regional cooperation in culture and tourism. Thanks to Ningxia’s proactive promotion and targeted matchmaking efforts, other member governments gained a deeper understanding of and developed a strong sense of affection for Ningxia. They noted that, in light of Ningxia’s rapid social and economic development, its rich and unique tourism resources, and its immense potential for cooperation, they are eager to share development opportunities with Ningxia. They expressed their interest to use cultural and tourism cooperation as a catalyst for broader practical cooperation with Ningxia in various fields, so as to take northeast Asian cooperation to new heights through win-win partnerships.
