From February 16 to 19, a 12-member delegation led by Munkhsaikhan, Governor of Bayankhongor Province of Mongolia, visited Ningxia. The visit aimed to gain insight into Ningxia enterprises’ development in various fields, including desertification control, energy and ecological conservation, green development and modern animal husbandry. Zhang Yupu, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Ningxia Committee and Governor of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and Munkhsaikhan co-chaired the Ningxia-Bayankhongor Matchmaking Meeting, with attendees coming from the Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office, Ningxia Agriculture and Rural Affairs Department, Ningxia Commerce Department, Ningxia Forestry and Grassland Administration, and Ningxia Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences, as well as enterprise representatives.

During their stay, the delegation visited the Ningxia Da Bei Nong Science and Technology Industrial Co., Ltd., the Sixth Dairy Farm of Pingjipu of Ningxia State Farm, and Mengniu’s Fully Intelligent Dairy Factory in Ningxia, getting to know Ningxia’s efforts in advancing integrated development of the entire modern animal husbandry industrial chain. Ningxia’s efficient integrated development is exemplified by its advanced manufacturing techniques, standardized workshops, and high-quality end products. The delegation also engaged in  discussions with the Ningmiao Ecological Technology Co., Ltd., and explored demonstration projects on desertification prevention and control in the western foot of the Luoshan Mountain and in the Shapotou District, as well as the photovoltaic power base in the Tengger Desert in Zhongwei City, bearing witness to Ningxia’s practices and achievements in combating desertification and restoring ecology. Furthermore, the delegation toured the Ningxia Wozhiyuan Technology Co., Ltd. to learn about innovative resource recycling technologies in arid regions driven by new productive forces. They also went to the Yinchuan Zhongke Environmental Protection Power Co., Ltd., to understand how Ningxia utilizes waste resources to develop a circular economy and applies science-based approaches to environmental protection.

Governor Munkhsaikhan noted that Bayankhongor Province and Ningxia enjoy time-honored friendship and promising cooperation prospects. Speaking highly of Ningxia’s remarkable achievements in green and sustainable development, the high-quality development of modern animal husbandry, and the comprehensive efforts in desertification prevention and control, Munkhsaikhan expressed his readiness to take the visit as an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation with Ningxia, particularly in these key areas, so as to keep elevating the international friendship city relations of the two sides to new heights.
