Delegation of European Youth Leaders Visit Ningxia

From August 23 to 27, a delegation of European youth leadersvisitedNingxia. The delegation, consisting of 27 young individuals from 24 European countries, gainedinsights into Ningxias development, focusing on advantageous andspecialityindustries, desertification control, rural revitalization, and the promotionof ethnic unitythrough on-site visits. A deeperunderstanding was gained of Chinese modernization, coupled with an in-depth experience of traditional Chinese culture.


During their stay in Ningxia, the delegation explored the Minning New ImageExhibition Center, the ChangchengGardenResidential Communityin Jinfeng District, and the HemeiE-commerce Workshop. They witnessed the path towards shared prosperity through collaborative efforts between Fujian and Ningxiaand the vibrant tableau of ethnicunity symbolized by people of different ethnic backgrounds living togetherlike the tightly-knitseeds of a pomegranate.They also visited the Baijitan National Nature Reserve in Lingwu City, for an observance ofNingxias commitment to applying the idealthat lucid waters and lush mountains areinvaluable assets,and its exemplary green developmentof ecological conservationthat featuresthe historic transition from desert displacing human settlement to green oases replacing desert withsolid shelterbeltsin place.They were able to see firsthand the harmony between humanity and nature.Additionally, the delegation visitedthe Ningxia WolfberryGoji Industry Company, the Paddy-Fish Space Ecopark, Yuanshi Vineyard, and JadeVineyard. They saw the dynamic strides Ningxia is takingin advancing high-quality development of its advantageous and specialtyindustries. The delegates were unanimous in their admiration for Chinas endeavors to enhance the wellbeing of its people, making sure no one is left behind, and the promotion ofcommon prosperity. They were deeply impressed by the ingenuity and resolve of the Ningxia people in ecological conservation and environmental governance, andpledged to share Ningxia’sstory with their compatriots, to boostthe awareness and understanding of Ningxiaandact as bridge-builders in China-Europe relations, promoters of people-to-people friendship, and advocates forcultural exchanges.


On August 26, co-hosted by the Department of European Affairs ofthe Ministry of Foreign Affairs andthe Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office, the Sixth European YouthLeaders Workshop,attended by the delegation, came to its closing session. Bai Yuzhen, Director-Generalof the Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office, and officialsfrom the Department of European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairswere present, withremarks addressedto the attendees.
