On July 13, the Chinese Embassy in Turkmenistan hosted a cultural event themed “Enjoying a Taste of China”, attracting nearly 400 guests from the Turkmen government, colleges and universities, the press, small and medium-sized enterprises, and social organizations. The attendees delved into the rich tapestry of traditional Chinese culture, savored the delicacies of Chinese cuisine, and took part in singing Chinese classic songs, engaging in an immersive experience of China. Qian Naicheng, Ambassador of China to Turkmenistan, graced the event with his presence and delivered a speech, while Yao Hongjuan, Zhang Baojun, Wang Zhizhong, Bai Yuzhen and Tian Qi, director-generals of foreign affairs offices of Shaanxi Province, Gansu Province, Qinghai Province, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, addressed the event via video link.
In her address, Bai Yuzhen highlighted the economic and social progress of Ningxia and the development of its key industries. She expressed Ningxia’s readiness to act under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state and to seize the historic opportunities presented by the convergence of the Belt and Road Initiative with the initiative to revive the Silk Road. Ningxia, she said, is committed to strengthening ties with various sectors in Turkmenistan, identifying areas of mutual benefits and advancing friendly and practical cooperation across different fields. It aims to add to the essence of bilateral relations with tangible outcomes and to ensure the steady and enduring development of the China-Turkmenistan relationship.
In a bid to elevate the reputation and influence of Ningxia’s specialty agricultural products and to help its leading industries and quality products go abroad, the Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office took the initiative to facilitate Ningxia Wolfberry Biological and Food Engineering Co., Ltd. in exhibiting its products at the event, showcasing the fresh developments in Ningxia’s modern goji industry and earning positive comments from the attendees.
