From April 26 to 29, the delegation of Asian diplomats in China visited Ningxia. The delegation went to Yinchuan City, Wuzhong City and Zhongwei City during their stay and visited factories, companies and communities. The purpose of the visit was to gain insights into Ningxia’s advancements in cutting-edge technology, desertification control, rural revitalization and governance at the community level. Additionally, the visit aimed to explore potential areas for cooperation and strengthen friendly exchanges. The delegation was composed of H.E. SOEUNG Rathchavy, Ambassador of Cambodia to China, as well as senior diplomats from the Japanese, Indonesian, Laos, Mongolian and Bruneian embassies in China.
Following the delegation’s visits to the Ningdong Energy and Chemical Industry Base, Minning New Image Exhibition Center, Triumph Haofeng (Yinchuan) Industrial Park for Smart Protected Agriculture, Mengniu Dairy (Ningxia) Company, Western Xia Mausoleums and Xincheng Mosque, they learned about the achievements of Ningxia in cutting-edge technologies, comprehensive rural revitalization, modern agriculture and animal husbandry, history and traditional culture as well as ethnic unity and progress.
In Wuzhong City, the delegation visited the Jinhuayuan Community in Jinxing Town of Litong District, and took a glimpse of governance at the community level and ethnic unity, and experienced the colourful traditional culture of Ningxia.
In Zhongwei City, the delegation visited the China Unicom Zhongwei Cloud Data Center, Ningxia Tengger Desert New Energy Base, and Shapotou Desert Experimental Research Station of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, to further understand the development of big data industry and new energy sector in Ningxia, and to tap into the enhanced growth of the photovoltaic industry as well as comprehensive desertification control.
The delegation applauded China’s principle of building strong relations with its neighbors based on amity, sincerity, mutual benefit, and inclusiveness, and the policy of “building friendship and partnership with neighboring countries”. H.E. SOEUNG Rathchavy, Ambassador of Cambodia to China, and the fellow diplomats said that they had an in-depth understanding of the history and planning of Ningxia’s development through their visit, especially the achievements made in high-tech industry, green and sustainable development, poverty alleviation and rural revitalization. They viewed Ningxia’s development as a concrete manifestation of Chinese path to modernization. To achieve win-win results, the delegation stood ready to strengthen mutual learning with Ningxia, and promote people-to-people and local exchanges together with practical cooperation.
Lei Dongsheng, Member of Standing Committee and Secretary-General of the CPC Ningxia Committee, met with the delegation in Yinchuan. Yu Hong, ambassador of the Department of Asian Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Bai Yuzhen, Director-General of the Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office, attended the meeting. Zhang Liwei, Deputy Director-General of the Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office, Jiang Yaoqiang, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Wuzhong Municipal Committee, and Yu Jianwen, Member of Standing Committee, Secretary-General and Director of Organization Department of the CPC Zhongwei Municipal Committee, accompanied and had exchanges with the delegation during their visit.
