From March 22 to 24, the delegation of German-Chinese Friendship Association Mainz-Wiesbaden visited Ningxia. The purpose of the visit was to gain insights into the development of Ningxia’s specialty industries, explore complementary advantages, and seek opportunities for friendly exchanges and practical cooperation. Bai Yuzhen, Director-General of the Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office and Executive Vice President of the Ningxia People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (NPAFFC), met with the delegation.

Following the delegation’s on-site visits to BASF Shanshan Battery Materials (Ningxia) Co. Ltd., Minning New Image Exhibition Center, Baijitan National Nature Reserve, Rock Art in the Helan Mountains and Yuanshi Vineyard, they obtained a thorough understanding of the management of German companies in China and had first-hand experiences of Ningxia’s achievements in rural revitalization, ecological governance, the wine industry and conservation of cultural relics. Besides, the delegation had close discussions with their counterparts from Ningxia on promoting practical cooperation in various fields between Ningxia and Rheinland-Pfalz and Hessen of Germany, with the Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of Friendly Cooperation Relations signed.

Taking this visit as an opportunity, the NPAFFC will play an active role in broadening channels and establishing platforms for exchanges and cooperation, so as to facilitate the friendly interactions between the two sides in international friendship city relations, culture, education, as well as the wine industry, and contribute to the steady development of China-Germany relations.
