On September 28, Bai Yuzhen, Director-General of Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office (NXFAO), attended Xi Jinping: The Governance of China IV --- China-Arab States Cloud Lecture Hall, which was co-organized by the China Economic Cooperation Center of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Arab Chinese Cooperation & Development Association. A former minister from Lebanon, think tank experts from Egypt, Jordan and Morocco, Chinese ambassador to Lebanon, as well as local government officials, scholars and businessmen attended the activity and exchanged their thoughts over the Fourth Volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China. 

During the lecture, with the theme of “pursing harmonious coexistence between man and nature, promoting socioeconomic development”, Bai shared stories of how Minning Town was transformed from a barren land into a golden land, desertification efforts in Baijitan and their evolution over the years, and how the building of the Pilot Zone for Ecological Conservation and High-Quality Development of the Yellow River Basin benefits Ningxia people. These vivid examples are successful practices of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, in particular Xi Jinping’s thought on ecological progress. They provide ample proof that ecological conservation could meet people’s increasing needs for a beautiful environment and promote better, fairer, safer, more efficient and sustainable development, thus blazing a trail featuring sound development, higher living standards, and a healthy ecosystem.

Experts and scholars from Arab states admired Ningxia for its achievements in pursuing high-quality development and ecological conservation. They expressed their willingness to enhance exchanges and cooperation with Ningxia and contribute to the building of a China-Arab states community with a shared future for a new era.

The NXFAO has taken this activity as an opportunity to serve inter-party communications, expand Ningxia’s exchanges and cooperation with foreign countries and make Ningxia’ voice heard among its friends.
