With the facilitation of the Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office (NXFAO), an online meeting on the joint training of elderly care professionals was held between Ningxia Vocational Technical College of Industry and Commerce and Riei Company Limited of Japan on September 20. This is the first official exchange between the two sides this year after several rounds of contact coordinated by the NXFAO .

Riei Company Limited is the first foreign-funded elderly care company in China. During the meeting, the general manager of Riei (Beijing) Co., Ltd. briefed the attendees on Riei’s philosophy, experience, achievements in localization and strengths in personnel training. The chief administrator of the School of Humanities and Education of Ningxia Vocational Technical College of Industry and Commerce introduced the school’s teaching characteristics and its programs of smart elderly care service and management.

Based on in-depth exchanges, the two sides reached consensus on four aspects, including teaching and research, joint program development, expertise improvement and tiered vocational training. The two sides also agreed to invite Japanese experts to give lectures in the near future with the theme of training concepts and practices of elderly care professionals, so as to lay a solid foundation for further cooperation.

Going forward, NXFAO will continue to leverage its strengths and tap new potentials to serve the development of Ningxia’s industrial development and boost international cooperation and high-quality development of the elderly care sector and other key industries.
