On June 23, an online economic and trade matchmaking meeting was jointly held by Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office (NXFAO), Ningxia Commerce Department, and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Beijing to further promote Ningxia’s economic and trade cooperation with Japan.
During the meeting, Chen Shengrong, Inspector of Ningxia Commerce Department, and Takashima Ryusuke, Director-General of JETRO Beijing, delivered speeches respectively. Officials from Ningxia Commerce Department, Yinchuan Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Shizuishan Investment Promotion Bureau briefed the participants on Ningxia’s key industries, investment environment and policies for investment attraction. Representatives from JETRO Beijing introduced the opportunities brought about by RCEP, investment and trade policies of China and Japan, Japan’s demand for international economic and trade cooperation, and means to find cooperation partners. The two sides also discussed how to promote practical economic cooperation between Ningxia and Japan. The successful conclusion of the meeting has broadened the channels for Ningxia to enhance trade interactions with Japan, shore up its weakness in opening up, and step up international economic and trade cooperation.
NXFAO will further study and implement the guiding principles of the 13th Ningxia Congress of the CPC. With the help of organizations of foreign countries in China, international friendship cities and international friends, it will better coordinate its resources and adopt new approaches to cooperate with relevant departments through online events, with a view to creating synergy for the high-standard opening up and high-quality development of Ningxia.
