On April 22, Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office (NXFAO) held an online meeting with the International Cooperation and Trade Division of Chungcheongnam-do of the ROK to discuss the annual exchange plans. Officials from Asian and African Affairs Division of NXFAO and Northern Affairs Working Group of International Cooperation and Trade Division of Chungcheongnam-do attended the meeting.

In the meeting, officials from Asian and African Affairs Division of NXFAO briefed their counterparts from International Cooperation and Trade Division of Chungcheongnam-do on recent exchange plans and proposals for bolstering exchanges in industries and between youths from the two sides. They also invited representatives from goji enterprises in Chungcheongnam-do and Cheongyang-gun to attend the Fifth Goji Industry Expo online. The two sides exchanged views on expanding cooperation in modern goji industry between Zhongning County and Cheongyang-gun. As this year marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and the ROK and the China-ROK Cultural Exchange Year, the two sides agreed to take this opportunity to consolidate cooperation foundation and tap cooperation potential with a view to boosting higher-level cooperation between Zhongning County and Cheongyang-gun on goji industry.

NXFAO attaches great significance to the high-quality development of modern goji industry and the other eight priority industries of Ningxia. As the Fifth Goji Industry Expo will welcome international participation for the first time, NXFAO will build closer ties with Chungcheongnam-do and other main goji producing areas in the ROK to harness strengths in international cooperation. With these efforts, it will present Ningxia goji to the world and make its own contribution to building the Pilot Zone for Ecological Conservation and High-Quality Development of the Yellow River Basin.
