On April 13, at the invitation of Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office (NXFAO), Ningxia Science and Technology Department and Yinchuan Young Entrepreneurs Association, representatives from several Ningxia companies and Riei (Beijing) Co., Ltd. attended an online meeting on elderly care cooperation. The attendees of Ningxia side are from Ningxia Elderly Care Service Center, Yinchuan Jianfa Real Estate Group, Yinchuan Longguang Elderly Care Co., Ltd., Zhongfang Elderly Care Company, Zhongfang Online Hospital and Taoli Health Development Group.

NXFAO introduced its efforts of expanding Ningxia’s cooperation with Japan’s enterprises, non-governmental organizations and vocational schools in elderly care and nursing. Officials from Ningxia Science and Technology Department briefed the attendees on the policies and supporting measures of Ningxia in introducing foreign experts and made detailed explanation on how Ningxia uses special-purpose funds to bring in Japanese experts.

Representatives showed strong interests in cooperation with Japan and had an in-depth exchange with the General Manager of Riei (Beijing) Co., Ltd. Ningxia Elderly Care Service Center and Yinchuan Longguang Elderly Care Co., Ltd. expressed their willingness to join hands with Riei (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and train managerial and nursing personnel to shore up their weaknesses. Zhongfang Elderly Care Company noted that it would like to introduce Japan’s experience and practices in community-based elderly care to improve Ningxia’s home care services. Taoli Health Development Group said it stood ready to cooperate with Japan in the design, management and operation of elderly care communities.

Riei (Beijing) Co., Ltd. expressed that they have full confidence in Ningxia’s elderly care industry and would like to provide targeted solutions to meet the diverse demands of Ningxia in this sector and jointly improve its elderly care services.

NXFAO aimed to mobilize resources in the science and technology sector and jointly advance international cooperation in elderly care. The meeting was welcomed by the participating enterprises as it promoted favorable industrial policies along with international resources. Going forward, NXFAO will work with Ningxia Science and Technology Department to step up support for the enterprises and facilitate the early initiation of joint programs.
