From June 9 to 11, Suree Trairatananukool, the newly appointed Consul General of Thailand in Xi’an, visited Ningxia heading a four-member delegation.
On June 9, Lai Jiao, Vice Governor of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, met with the delegation in Yinchuan. He expressed congratulations towards Suree Trairatananukool on her appointment and appreciated her efforts in promoting the two sides’ exchanges and cooperation and deepening mutual understanding through this visit. Lai said that Ningxia and Thailand have frequent interactions and achieved fruitful cooperation results in people-to-people exchanges, trade and economy, investment, education, tourism, etc. The CPC Ningxia Committee prioritizes the development of nine key industries including goji, wine, new materials, green food, culture and tourism, some of which have the potential and broad prospects to realize complementary cooperation with Thailand. He hopes that Trairatananukool will introduce Ningxia’s specialty industries to Thailand’s enterprises and facilitate their investment in Ningxia. Ningxia will create an enabling environment and provide quality services to help the Thai investors achieve their development goals. He also hopes that Trairatananukool will help advance Ningxia’s friendly relations with Thailand’s sub-national governments and advance cooperation in culture and tourism. He invited Trairatananukool and people from the Thai business community to attend the Fifth China-Arab States Expo, so as to tap cooperation potential and realize win-win cooperation.
Trairatananukool said that Yinchuan Chia Tai Limited Corporation is an important cooperation project between Ningxia and Thailand, so is the joint program on Red Bull beverages production between T.C. Pharmaceutical Industries Co., Ltd. of Thailand and Ningixia Hosenji Gojiberry Drinks Co., Ltd. The Consulate General of Thailand in Xi’an will serve as a bridge that connects the friendly exchanges between the two sides. She hopes that through this visit, the two sides will find more common ground and expand cooperation.
During their stay in Ningxia, the delegation visited Yinchuan Chia Tai Limited Corporation, Ningixia Hosenji Gojiberry Drinks Co., Ltd., Xiaoren Fruit and Vegetables Modern Agriculture Co., Ltd., Xinbai Chain Supermarket, Bairuiyuan Gojiberry Museum, and learned about how the Thailand-invested businesses and Thai commodities fare in Ningxia. The delegation also met with representatives from China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Ningxia Sub-council, discussing possibilities of holding online matchmaking events for enterprises and promoting economic and trade cooperation.
