From November 25 to 27, the 18th K2H (Korean Heart to Heart Program) Civil Servants Exchange Seminar was held in Taiyuan City, the capital city of China’s Shanxi Province. The seminar was co-hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in China and Governors Association of Korea, and sponsored by the Department of Foreign Affairs Management of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Bai Yuzhen, Deputy Director-General of Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office, led a delegation to attend the seminar.

The seminar, by inviting civil servants who have taken part in the K2H program, a six- to twelve-month program which invites Chinese civil servants to the ROK for exchanges, aims to enhance understanding among local governments of China and the ROK, exchange experience in the governments’ administration and governance, and strengthen friendly relations between the two countries since its initiation in 1999. Ningxia held the 12th K2H Civil Servants Exchange Seminar and recommended local civil servants to join the program, laying a solid foundation for the cooperation with local governments of the ROK.

During the seminar, Bai Yuzhen briefed officials from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in China and Governors Association of Korea on Ningxia’s efforts to build the Pilot Zone for Ecological Protection and High-Quality Development of the Yellow River Basin, as well as Ningxia’s nine specialty and competitive industries.
