On December 7, the 2020 Ningxia-Chungcheongnam-do Online Matchmaking Meeting for Select Enterprises and Products was held successfully. Officials from the Economic Planning Committee, Economy Bureau and International Cooperation and Trade Division of the Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Government, and Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office, Ningxia Commerce Department and Zhongning County of Ningxia attended the meeting. Representatives of 29 enterprises from Chungcheongnam-do and 18 enterprises from Ningxia held talks during the meeting. The Agreement on Goji Industry Cooperation between Zhongning County and Cheongyang-gun was signed online.

In order to ensure a demand-oriented meeting and precise matchmaking, Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office have made full preparation by studying the industrial characteristics of the two places and cooperation possibilities. At the two preparatory online meetings, information of related enterprises were exchanged, so that enterprises with complementary advantages and aligned cooperation intents would be paired up. At this meeting, representatives of the two sides that had been matched in advance had one-on-one conversations in designated online meeting rooms, having in-depth discussions in terms of production standards, quality and prices of products, etc. The meeting served as an effective platform for information exchange and mutually beneficial cooperation. For the next step, the two sides will sort through their consensus and help the enterprises advance cooperation, turning the achievements of the meeting into economic returns. 

In this year, Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office has been focusing on introducing measures that will promote the opening up and high-quality development of Ningxia. It takes the initiative to boost international cooperation with the help of Internet technologies, with a view to facilitating the development of its nine specialty and competitive industries, strengthening international connections of Ningxia's industries and advancing result-oriented cooperation between enterprises. Based on the successful experience drawn from this meeting, Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office will expand online interactions with other international friendship cities and regions as well as friendly organizations, so as to serve the socioeconomic development of Ningxia with “cloud international events” in the post-COVID-19 era.
