On October 30, Ningxia and Chungcheongnam-do of the ROK held an online matchmaking meeting to promote cooperation in the goji industry. Chaired by Bai Yuzhen, Deputy Director-General of Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office, the meeting welcomed officials from related government departments and goji industry associations, as well as representatives and experts from major enterprises and research institutions. 

Attendees from the two sides introduced their respective experience in the development of the industry, presented samples of goji products, and exchanged views on how to leverage complementary advantages and enhance cooperation. 

The meeting, centering on goji industry, joins together the top producing regions of goji in China and the ROK. With information and experience communicated and cooperation possibilities discussed, it injects new dynamism into the industry which is undergoing significant transformation and modernization, blazes a new trail for Ningxia’s goji products to compete in the international market with globally-oriented brands, and ushers in a new chapter of pragmatic cooperation between Ningxia and Chungcheongnam-do.

The matchmaking meeting is a move by the Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office to serve Ningxia’s specialty and competitive industries with targeted measures. Along with Ningxia Forestry and Grassland Administration, it will, by focusing on initiating cooperation between Zhongning County and Cheongyang-gun, assist communication between industrial associations, research institutions and flagship enterprises from the two sides to help upgrade the goji industry, so as to present Ningxia’s gojiberry and goji products to consumers across the world.
