Video Conference Held Between Ningxia and Chungcheongnam-do

On August 8, Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office (NXFAO) held a video conference with the International Cooperation and Trade Division of Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Government of the ROK. The two sides discussed promoting result-oriented cooperation and developing friendly relationship under current situation. Kang In-bok, Director of International Cooperation and Trade Division of Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Government, Hong Bong-taek, Secretary General of Chungnam Venture Association, Bai Yuzhen, Deputy Director-General of NXFAO, and Yang Zhitai, member of the CPPCC Yinchuan Committee and President of Yinchuan Young Entrepreneurs’ Association, attended the conference.
Bai Yuzhen and Kang In-bok introduced the socioeconomic development and competitive and featured industries of the two sides respectively. They also exchanged views on facilitating related institutions and enterprises to hold Ningxia-Chungcheongnam-do (Online) Business Fair (tentative name) (the Fair). Yang Taizhi and Hong Bong-taek reached consensus on establishing long-term relations and promoting exchanges and cooperation among their member enterprises. For the next step, the two sides will focus on the Fair, assisting business authorities and enterprises with their communication so as to ensure smooth and fruitful cooperation.
The past few years have seen increasing interactions between Ningxia and Chungcheongnam-do. In particular, with the help of the 15th China-ROK Local Governments Exchange Seminar and the award ceremonies of Asian Townscape Awards held in Ningxia, the governments and enterprises from the two sides have established good relationship and communicated with each other in terms of trade and economic cooperation, commercial real estate development, and goji breeding and deep processing, laying a solid foundation for deepening pragmatic cooperation and friendship.
This video conference is another important “cloud” event held by NXFAO after the outbreak of COVID-19. It will usher in a new chapter of cooperation between Ningxia and Chungcheongnam-do and help Ningxia open up further.
