On August 10, a batch of anti-COVID-19 materials which will be donated to Chinese students studying in Egypt started delivery in Yinchuan. The materials consist of 15,000 surgical masks, 2,000 disposable medical masks and 1,000 medical protective suits. The donation will be received and handed out by the Embassy of China in Egypt.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Ningxia Foreign Affairs Office has kept close contact with Chinese students in Egypt with the help of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, learning about their needs and difficulties and offered assistance to them through the Embassy. 
As of August 10, Egypt confirmed 95,492 COVID-19 infections and 5,009 deaths. As COVID-19 continues to spread in Egypt, officials in Ningxia and parents of the students have been following their situation closely. The CPC Ningxia Committee and Ningxia People’s Government have attached great importance to the health and safety of these students, coordinating funds for the purchase of the anti-pandemic supplies in the hope that this donation will help protecting them in the face of COVID-19.
